I don’t know about all you other brides out there but I’m completely overwhelmed by all the amazing vintage, rustic, glamorous, classic, modern, traditional (and the list goes on and on) decor ideas! How are we ever supposed to make up our minds and narrow down our vision when we have so many pretty things to pick from?!? Lately it seems that I find a new “must have” wedding obsession each week. So instead of hiding my obsessions in shame – I’ve decided to start sharing my new found obsessions with all of you each week…and first up….(drum roll please)…..SEQUINS!!!
Ok, ok, I know what you’re thinking…sequins, really? Yes. I LOVE THEM. For awhile it seemed like sequins where a bit reminiscent of decades past but they are resurfacing in a very elegant and beautiful way and I think they can add just the perfect amount of sparkle on your big day!
Here are just a few ways you can incorporate a little shimmer and shine into your wedding!
Table Linens
I adore these sequin linens from La Tavola’s Dolce collection:
Shown here in Nude and White and Gold Chevron from Style Me Pretty
Here are a few other colors you can find in La Tavola’s collection:
Shell via Wedding Chicks, Ivory via 100 Layer Cake, Blush, Black and Brass via La Tavola, Silver via Style Me Pretty
Wedding Attire
You can wear sequins as the bride…
Monique Lhuillier via The Sweetest Occasion, BHLDN via One Wed, Others via Wedding Dresses Magazine
or have your bridesmaids don a little sparkle…
Pink Sequins mix and match via Society Bride, Gold dresses via Grey Likes Weddings, others via South Bound Bride
and if you’re still feeling a bit sequin shy, you can always incorporate them as fun accessories in smaller doses like a clutch, shoes, hair accessories or a sash!
Gold caplet via Wedding Obsession, Sequin Shoes via Pinterest, all other accessories via Pinterest
And just as a little bonus, I thought I’d share this little DIY treat from Style Me Pretty which shows you how you can create your own sequin clutch on a budget!
Happy Tuesday!
xoxo, Crystal
